Jessie was first purchased by Tina's Dad in 1975. She came all the way from Texas. Tina's Dad, being a hot rod guy himself, gave his daughter the car in 1977. Tina got her drivers license in Healdsburg when there used to be a DMV at the Boy Scout Hut on 1st Street. Tina got a 96 on her driving test because she didn't cover the brake in front of Home Bakery, before they put a stop sign in at North St. and Center Sts. in downtown Healdsburg.
Tina drove the car all through High School, cruising and racing on 4th Street in Santa Rosa and Petaluma until they outlawed cruising in the early 80's. Tina went off to College, her Dad gave her a silver Vega GT to take with her, but Jessie had to stay home in storage. In 1983 Tina and her Dad got Jessie out of storage and started pulling her apart to begin restoration. She went through a full body off restoration with Tina's Dad doing all the work and Tina spending some of her first paychecks rebuilding the engine and transmission and giving her a new Chevelle red paint job with black SS stripes. Today Jessie still has her original 1970 interior and convertible top. She is an all numbers matching original American muscle car.
Jessie is excited to get back on the road again and to carry passengers through the backroads of her home town. She has been garaged and driven only in the summers since 1985. She has only been driven 8,000 miles in the past 25 years. This big block Texas gal is sure to give you a smooth ride and a nostalgic muscle car thrill with a throttle that seems to go on forever.
Lola is an original California muscle car. She came from Merced, CA and was partially restored by her previous owner, a lifetime Impala enthusiast. She is a rare original Super Sport car with a 4 speed transmission and silver metallic inside and out.
Lola was purchased in January of 2009 when Tina's Dad, Steve, asked Vic & Tina to go with him to the famous Turlock Swap Meet in Turlock, CA. Steve had been selling there for over 30 years and he knew it would be a good place to find a car for W.C. Hot Rod Tours. After Vic and Tina helped Steve set up his booth they set out to look through the Car Sales Lot. Tina spotted Lola right away, but a 60 Impala caught their eye and they proceeded back to talk to Steve and have him take a look. Vic and Steve inspected the 1960 and even though it had a fancy paint job, Steve showed Vic all the things that were hiding under the surface. They walked down a little further and saw Lola, with her shimmering silver metallic paint job. Steve did not have to look very hard to see that this was a nice rare car and showed Vic why. Vic made a deal with her owner on the spot and drove her home the next morning.
She is pictured here with her original interior. When she arrived at her new home in Healdsburg she soon received new interior, seat belts and all new window rubber making her safe and water tight for cruising the wine roads of Sonoma County. Vic decided Lola’s engine would not be dependable for touring so he found a shiny new chrome 350 on the showroom floor of Victory Chevrolet in Petaluma. Special Vortec heads and manifold give her the power and dependability of a Police Cruiser. Lola has lots of room in the back seat and she is the perfect ride for special events.
Elena is an original California car from Vic’s childhood. Vic grew up in Campbell, Ca. He lived across the street from the Macierz Family. Vic, his brothers and the Macierz boys were always working on cars. Vic’s childhood best friend, Kevin Macierz was first given Elena in 1976. Over the years Kevin rebuilt and repainted her several times. She started out soft yellow, then red, then black and silver. After high school Elena was stored away while Kevin got married and raised a family. When his own son Cory was 16 and ready to drive, Kevin resurrected her and painted her red. The old original Pontiac engine served her well for years until it finally failed in the late 90’s and poor Elena was parked in storage again until late 2008.
Kevin and Vic were talking on the phone one night and Kevin said, “Remember the old Firebird, I still have it and I want you to have it for your business.” Vic and Tina’s dad Steve set out one day to pick her up. When Kevin opened the old barn doors you could not even tell there was a car in there. When they finally got her uncovered there she was dirty, but still intact.
Vic spent the next 6 months fitting her with a new Chevy small block 350 with custom tunnel ram manifold and dual carburetors. She also received new interior, windshield, wheels, tires, all new rubber and convertible top. Vic thought he could buff out the paint but she ended up needing some body work and so she got a new coat of 2010 Challenger Orange with matte black striping. She’s a Pontiac with a Chevy heart like her new owners. Elena is named after Kevin’s Mom, she loves cars and has always supported the boys in their mechanical adventures, so a fitting tribute. Elena is sure to give you the ride of your life with her spicy high performance attitude and rich family history.
Thanks Kevin!
